STOP by the ROSSMOOR COMPUTER CENTER AT Gateway. Stop and say "hello" and see the new furniture and special wall decorations. Volunteers now have the room to answer residents' questions, help more than one person at a time, make suggestions about classes, seminars and workshops, and they are able to do searches when time permits.
Three computers are available for public use.
Clever and interesting wall decorations: Of particular interest is the replication of the Rossmoor logo. Some clever fellow known to all, has taken a large number of computer parts and cleverly fashioned them into the logo. It is very creative and this alone is worth a visit to the Computer Center.

House Calls
After about 10 years of being in the house call business,, Manager , Monte Hall has turned this position over to the more than capable Bill Hammond, who also is the 'Question Man', and he will manage both projects
On April 18th 2012, the Rossmoor Computer Club presented a program, which discussed how Facebook operates. This was produced by Monte Hall, staring the charismatic Jan Barnes, as the speaker. Jan had made up information sheets explaining the lecture and these were passed out at the door of the Peacock Room by Helene Hall and Charlene Bradley The ladies passed out 175 sheets and then ran out. The room was SRO.
Our President Leonard Krauss, introduced Ms Barnes and she was off and running. It was an outstanding presentation, and covered as much material as time allowed. We ran a short poll of the folks attending, as they left, and the results were very positive. Everyone liked Jan and the way she covered the subject. A lot of people asked if we would do it again. Perhaps we will. But right now, the club has a number of new projects in mind.
